Engineering Manager (Hardware Interface Design)
Role Overview
DIS Tech Philippines is seeking an Engineering Manager in Hardware Interface Design to lead and grow a high-performing team of engineers in Cebu. This role partners closely with our worldwide engineering leaders to deliver next-generation semiconductor test interface solutions. You will play a key role in project scoping, technical direction, mentoring engineers, and ensuring quality designs reach customers on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project planning, resource allocation, and technology feasibility studies to ensure smooth delivery.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance and coaching to engineers, ensuring they have the skills and tools to succeed.
- Monitor and report team performance, project status, and key metrics to senior management.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to ensure designs are manufactured and delivered at the highest quality and on schedule.
- Build relationships with key global customers and stakeholders.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to boost design efficiency.
- Manage global end-to-end hardware project execution, including:
- Device testing requirement assessment and feasibility study
- Risk analysis and mitigation planning
- Schedule planning and project management
- Design execution and implementation
- Regular reviews with global internal and external customers
- Quality control and verification
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Micro-Electronics, Mechatronics, Communications, Instrumentation, or related fields.
- Solid understanding of electronic circuit theory, multi-layer board design, and embedded systems.
- Familiarity with signal integrity, power integrity, and high-speed design principles.
- Strong communication skills in English; able to work effectively across cultures and regions.
- Proven ability to build, motivate, and lead engineering teams.
- Adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to simplify complex ideas for decision-making.
- Open-minded problem solver with a track record of driving change and innovation.
- Willingness to travel internationally when required.
